GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING SCHOOL RULES AND DISCIPLINE

ATTENDANCE: Regular attendance and punctuality are required of each and every student enrolled in the school. The minimum requirement of attendance is 75% in order to get promotion to the next class or to sit for the Council Examinations.

No student should be absent without a leave application. The full name of the student, class (section) and period of leave sanction must be mentioned in the application. The application must be signed by the parent/guardian.

If a student is absent on account of illness, a proper medical certificate should be submitted along with the application. Students suffering from or exposed to any infectious disease will not be allowed to attend school unless a doctor’s certificate is submitted stating the period of quarantine is over.

ABSENCE ON RE-OPENING OF SCHOOL: The name of students on the school roll as on the last working day of the session and 30th June will remain in the Attendance register for three days in the new session and July from the date school re-opens. If a student is absent and no leave application is submitted within these three days, the name will be struck off the school roll at the end of the third day, and the student will be re-admitted on payment of entrance fee as re-admission fee provided the seat is vacant.

CONTINUOUS ABSENCE DURING THE SESSION: If a student is absent for ten days continuously without a leave application the name will be struck off the roll and the student will be re-admitted on the payment of Entrance fee as re-admission fee provided the seat is vacant. It will not be the responsibility of the school to inquire from parents whether the student is returning or not.

During school hours no student is allowed to leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal and without the Parent escort only in case of an emergency.

BOOKS AND STATIONERY: Students should have all the required text books and stationery at the beginning of the school year and these must be brought regularly to the school. All books and exercise books should be covered with brown paper and have the name of the student, class, section, subject and year clearly marked on them.

Parents/Guardians are not permitted to interrupt classes in order to see teachers during school hours. Appointment must be made through the Principal’s office.

PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES: Instructions regarding payment of School Fees are clearly stated in the Bill Book which is issued to each student at the beginning of the new School Year in April. It will be the responsibility of the Parents/Guardians to see that fees are deposited as per rules printed in the Bill Book. All fines accruing due to late payments must be made. There will be no cancellation of the same.

SAFEGUARD OF SCHOOL PROPERTY: Destroying of school property is strictly prohibited and will be considered as gross misconduct. Any such defaulters will be liable for severe disciplinary action – such as replacing the item, a heavy fine and suspension from school.

We expect students to take care of their own books and belongings as the school will not be held responsible for the loss of any items belonging to the students.

Parents will be held solely responsible and will be summoned by the school office for repeated misconduct pertaining to:

Incomplete and untidy uniform

Forgetting to bring school books

Failure to get the Progress Report and Diary signed by the parent.

Coming late to school

Habitual lack of interest in school work, homework and extracurricular activities.

Misbehaviour of any kind within and without the school premises.
